I was in school when Don Coryell became head coach. It was passed only recently, and I had been a lukewarm fan of the Rams. Someone mentioned the Chargers have won their last six games under Coryell and mocked me, it would be terrible next year. But there was no cable at the time and the Chargers football was everything,
